We're back (for real!) and the season's underway. The Giants are in first place...so what's with all the bellyaching? There's the bullpen, and that third baseman...do they deserve it? One does, one not-so-much.

I hold off on doing a new Podcast about Giant acquisitions until I thought I was safe for the holidays, and he goes and trades Edgardo Alfonzo a mere half hour after I finish it!
To paraphrase Jay and Silent Bob, "The whole world's against us, dude, I swear to God."

It's time for episode number two. We tried to fix a few things, so let us know what you think about it!
This week, we discuss the recent Giant losses of Ned Colletti, Scott Eyre, and Brian Dallimore (yes, he left, and his loss might affect the Giants). We'll also talk about the one not-so-obvious guy upon whom the Giants 2006 playoff hopes might be resting.
All that, plus some prospect talk about the top pitcher in the system (now that Cain is in the majors) and a little bit of history, and the one man who was worth two Alous!

Cove Shots is the blog for San Francisco Giants fans, provided by SFDugout.com. News, analysis and prospect talk is all provided free of charge!

This is the homepage for the Cove Shots Podcast by SFDugout.com!
Very soon, this will be where you can get the best podcast on the San Francisco Giants that there is. No hyperactive, asshole commentators trying to get the next show no one watches on FSN. No overbearing stat geeks or scout geeks. Just good baseball analysis, commentary, and information about the Giants and their prospects.
Why have it here rather than actually on the website? Well, mostly so that we can use this as an RSS feed so that your usual podcast software or iTunes can allow our readers/listeners to subscribe to the podcast and get it automatically downloaded when a new one comes out!
